Sermon: My God

My God... I am an interfaith minister a servant of God... So let me tell you who my God is.

My God is the God of Abraham.
My God is the God of the Jews.
My God is the God of Israel. Thus he is a national God.
My God is the King of the Jews. Thus he is an ethnic God.
My God is the God of Love... the God of righteousness... the God of ages... the God of heaven... the King of Glory...the King of Kings... The Lord of Lords... He is strong and mighty... He is mighty in battle...He is the God of Justice... He is the God of Judgment... He is my Shepard.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.
My God's name is one that cannot truly be pronounce but if one where to try it might come out as Yah-Vay. When asked his name my God answered, "I am that I Am."
He commands that no other God be taken before him.
He commands that his name not be taken in vain.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God is the God of the Christians.
My God is the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning as it is now and as it will always be.
My God is Jesus Christ the Son of God who is my Lord and Savior. He is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
He Commands "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind. And you must love your neighbor as yourself."
My God said "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."
And to prove to all that he meant what he said while dying on the cross he said "forgive them father for they know not what they do."
Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.
My God is a healer; he heals by his touch and by his word. He said "fear not your believe will make you whole."
"And behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord if thou wild, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy was cleansed."
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God is Allah the God of the Muslims
My God is Allah who revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad the prophet through the angel Gabriel.
There is only one God and that is Allah the all knowing the all merciful.
Allah commands that I submit to total obedience... I surrender to Allah.
The prophets of Allah are Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, among others.
My God Allah said that it is a Muslim's obligation is to live in cooperation, not competition, with his fellow men and be helpful, kind, just and compassionate toward everyone regardless of whether they are of the same or a different faith, race or culture.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.
Allah said "All creatures are the children of Allah, and those dearest to Allah are the ones who treat His children kindly."
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God is the God of the Buddhist
My God is the One the universal soul.
My goal is enlightenment to rid myself of the delusion of ego to free my soul to attain Nirvana and become one with the universal soul in God.
I accept the four noble truths and the eight fold path to enlightenment.
I accept the Buddha as the great teacher.
When the Buddha was asked if he was God he responded, no I am not God. When asked if he was an angel he responded, no I am not an angel.
When asked if he was a saint he responded, no I am not a saint.
When asked then what are you? He responded that he was awake.
And what was the Buddha awake and aware of? The answer is enlightened and awake to God's message of love.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.
The Buddha is the great teacher he gives rise to this pure thought: "I will never abandon any living thing. I will love all living things as one. I will lead all living things to nirvana."
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God is the God of the Hindu.
My God is Brahma the supreme God and his many other lesser gods that are his unlimited form. This brings to my mind the angles represented in other beliefs.
Hindus see the Devine in everything and all means of worship as worthy.
Brahma is the Supreme Being. Brahma is the god of love.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God is the God of the Native Americans.
He is the spirit that is in all nature.
He is the twinkling of the morning star.
He sends his guides in the form of animals to guide and enlighten his children in their thoughts and visions.
He rules from a happy hunting ground that will be the heaven for those who follow his message and live a moral live.
And when my life here is done I will go to live in a big teepee and sit down with the Shepard Chief forever.
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God has many names and many forms: My God is called many things:

The One by the Buddests
God and Jesus Christ by the Christians
Shang Ti by those who follow the teachings of Confucius.
Brahma by the Hindus
Allah by the Moslims
God by the followers of Jainism
Yah-Vay by the Jews,
Jehovah by Jehovah's witnesses
Kami the spiritual essence by the Shinto
Nam the one God for all people by those who follow Sikhism
Wakan Tanka by the Sioux
The Dao by those who follow the teaching of Taoism
Ahura Mazda by Zorasters
The spirit of nature and rain by the Zuni
And very, many others but to all he is the God of Love
My God is the God of Love. That's my God.

My God is the kingdom and the power and the Glory.
My God is Allah the all seeing the all knowing the merciful.
My God said I am that I am, I am the Alpha and I am the Omega, I am the beginning and I am the end, I am all there is all there every was and all there ever will be fore ever and ever and ever and how long? for ever and ever and ever and when you are done saying that Just say Amen.
